6 years ago, I lived in Vienna, and it was a special year for me. And last December 2022, I visited again.
The language school I used to go to was closed due to the Coronavirus, the university building was relocated, and my friend's puppy grew up and doubled in size.
The joy of having idealized memories over the past six years validated or modified by walking the streets.
The anxiety that arose at the same time, caused by the mixing and overwriting of memories.
Expressing this dilemma was a necessary task for me to keep my memory in order.
This work is composed of a mixture of photos I took 6 years ago, photos I took during the few days I revisited, and photos I took after returning home.
I still use the mug that I drank out of every day 6 years ago.
Somewhat relieved at its unchanged appearance, I pour in memories of what once was and begin stirring…
