1990年生まれ、宮城県出身。神奈川県在住。千葉大学建築学科卒業、東京藝術大学大学院デザイン専攻修了。在学中、ウィーン応用芸術大学（die Angewandte）にて舞台美術と映像を学ぶ。幼少期から親しんできたクラシックバレエの身体感覚を起点に、空間と身体の関係性を主なテーマとして制作を行ってきた。
修了制作《Scenographia》では、日常風景を舞台的にとらえる映像インスタレーションを発表。以降、写真、映像、インスタレーション、パフォーマンスといった複数のメディアを横断しながら、「空間性」や「日常の中の違和感」に対する繊細な眼差しを軸に作品を展開している。制作においては、シーンの構造を観察・分類しながら再構成する分析的な手法を得意とする。
近年は、自身の記憶や感覚を起点とした写真シリーズや見立てのコラージュ、映像による空間インスタレーションに加え、写真集制作にも取り組んでいる。舞台芸術の記録・撮影や建築・自然にまつわる写真映像制作も手がける。
井上潤美との共同プロジェクト C for S（Choreography for Scenography）では、身体による空間理解を軸にした実験的活動を継続中。

Moeko Ishiguro holds a degree in architecture from Chiba University and an MFA in design from Tokyo University of the Arts. During her studies, she spent time at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (die Angewandte), where she studied scenography and visual media.
Her artistic practice is rooted in the bodily awareness cultivated through classical ballet since childhood, and centers on the relationship between body and space.

Her graduation work, Scenographia, was an audiovisual installation exploring everyday landscapes from a scenographic perspective. Since then, she has developed her practice across multiple media—photography, film, installation, and performance—focusing on spatial qualities and subtle moments of dissonance in the everyday. She often works analytically, observing and categorizing spatial scenes before reconstructing them in new forms.
Recent projects include photo series and collages derived from memory and embodied sensation, spatial installations using moving images, and the creation of photo books. Alongside her personal practice, she also works in photography and videography related to stage performance, architecture, and nature.
Together with Masumi Inoue, she co-directs C for S (Choreography for Scenography), an ongoing project exploring spatial understanding through the body.
She is the founder and director of toha co.Ltd., a company producing visual content related to architecture and the natural environment.
